The Cobalt Club

The Shadow fan club.

The thing that initially drew me into the world of The Shadow as a young man was the fantastic cover artwork. It was the bait that hooked me. I even named my youngest son Maxwell Grant as an homage. I have been looking for some cover artwork, Titles and captions included, that might be suitable to decorate his room so that he will get an appreciation of the origin of his name. I can't find anything other than computer scans, etc or bootlegs, that aren't very quality stuff. Any suggestions? Keep in mind I am poor. LOL.

You might be able to find an old photo of Orson Welles blown up as a poster from a movie poster shop.
He was the voice of The Shadow for a long while. You could buy an old broken radio with wooden casing.
Old typewriter (broken ones are cheaper) might also be a nice touch.
Suitable cover art for a child's room: The Dark Death, Dead Men Live, Hills of Death, Murder Town, Realm of Doom, The Crime Cult, The Five Chameleons, The Golden Vulture.
If you can't find pirated posters of The Shadow covers you may have to make them in some print shop.
One possibility is to project the cover on the wall of the room and then trace it on the wall with a pen and then paint it yourself. I personally wouldn't use paint because of the chemicals in it but that is up to you.

I can recommend ebay for posters and artwork with titles and such. it would be more economical to go to the section titled "buy it now" and avoid the inflated auction rates. ...The Shadow Knows
