Does anyone listen to AM 1710 Antioch? 2:30 Mountain time they run "Incognito Crime Fighters". It used to be devoted to the Shadow but now the Night Master shares the slot with The Green Hornet and...

Where does the Shadow's "official" history end?

Excuse me if this has been discussed before. But I have a question that kind of has nagged at me for some time now. Just because something is published as "The Shadow" do you consider it part of th...

Would love to know what the Chinese letters on the left side say. Wonder if they really represent Ying Ko?

As per our earlier discussions re: this subject. I agree that the Lon Chaney "Man of a Thousand Faces" concept is probably what Gibson had in mind. I still believe that whatever damage was done left him with enough structure to build his "faces" o...

Hmmmmmmmm? I am wondering just what is being said here.

It's a GREAT station! I really love it because they try and play the radio show on the day it was originally aired! I think it makes it unique among other OTR podcasts/stations. Almost like listening back then. So certain events in the year(Thanks...

Where do you find some of these things? I don't think this is how I envision the horror face. A little too "Joker"ish. But cool nonetheless.

M, I just finished reading "The Purple Girasol" as printed in Duende and find no reference to a second ring, only a second opal/eye. I don't have Frank Eisgruber's "Gangland's Doom: The Shadow of the Pulps" but have been reading "Chronology of Sh...

Burbank / Maxwell Grant: One and the same?

Could Burbank be Maxwell Grant, the mysterious author who pens the stories as told to him by the Shadow himself? Thoughts?
To me this makes sense. Although it never crossed my mind before it seems a natural. I was so fixated on the Shadow himself that I gave no consideration to who he may have trusted enough to relate his tales. Just an idea.

If this is something that has been brought up or even written about before, I apologize. I've just never heard it suggested.

My Shadow art

Since M C Williams asked, here is a couple of quick pieces of art from me. The charcoal sketch was from done last night after I finished a commissioned piece for one of our clients. The color piece was done on a lunch break last week. I used some Sharpie markers and then scanned it into Photoshop and... well, it's just a comprehensive, I may work it up into a piece someday. I have another I'm working on but this one I am taking a bit of time on. I'll share when it is done. Enjoy.… Continue

The Black Master

This painting for the March 1, 1932 issue "The Black Master" just sold for $33,460 at auction. It was part of the Charles Martignette collection that is in the process of being auctioned off in three separate auctions. Two have taken place I believe with a third and final one coming up.

I was a little rough in person. also, the size of the painting was 20 x 21 while most of the Rozens are 21 x 30. Don't get me wrong, it was still a great painting, but unless you are idependently wealthy, you have to pick and choose.

Thank you for the kind comment. I do agree though, that a silhouette would have been a good idea.

Hi Joseph,

No, I didn't really like the condition of it. I am currently working on other Shadow items.
Have you got a direct email?

I know what you mean. On the way home from work last night I caught Episode #204 Drums Of Doom (Originally aired March 19,1944).
I sat in the driveway with the Jeep running so that I could finish hearing the rest of the episode. :)
