Could Burbank be Maxwell Grant, the mysterious author who pens the stories as told to him by the Shadow himself? Thoughts?
To me this makes sense. Although it never crossed my mind before it seems a natural. I was so fixated on the Shadow himself that I gave no consideration to who he may have trusted enough to relate his tales. Just an idea.
If this is something that has been brought up or even written about before, I apologize. I've just never heard it suggested.

Since M C Williams asked, here is a couple of quick pieces of art from me. The charcoal sketch was from done last night after I finished a commissioned piece for one of our clients. The color piece was done on a lunch break last week. I used some Sharpie markers and then scanned it into Photoshop and... well, it's just a comprehensive, I may work it up into a piece someday. I have another I'm working on but this one I am taking a bit of time on. I'll share when it is done. Enjoy.…

This painting for the March 1, 1932 issue "The Black Master" just sold for $33,460 at auction. It was part of the Charles Martignette collection that is in the process of being auctioned off in three separate auctions. Two have taken place I believe with a third and final one coming up.

Following the Shadow Serial in 1940 the Shadow disappeared from the
silver screen for six years despite his popularity on Radio, in the
pulps and in Comic Books.

The fact that Grand National went bankrupt making Shodow feature
films may have dissuaded other movie producers from risking such a
venture (never mind the fact that Grand Nation…

Behind the Mask (1946)
This is the second in Monogram's series of B Shadow movies.

In the first movie Margo was a bit annoying as the jealous
girlfriend. In this movie she becomes VERY annoying and is joined by
Shrevy's jealous girlfriend to create a sort of "I Love Lucy" style
foursome. As the movie attempted to make comedy of Margo's j…

The Missing Lady (1946)
This is the third in Monogram's series of B Shadow movies.

As in the first two movies Margo is an annoying jealous girlfriend
band although it plays more of a part in this movie than in the first
one it does not actually become a major subplot as in the second
movie.
The story involves a murder mystery and "missing…

Many are unaware of this fact but upon the cancellation of the Shadow
Radio Show in 1954, as half hour pilot for a Shadow TV series was
filmed. The pilot however never sold and was never aired. In the
past I have rarely seen the pilot mentioned, and when I did it was
always referred to as a "lost" pilot. I actually did not believe
that it had survived... until... I obtained a video tape of
the "lost" pilot.

The first attempt at a Shadow Movie was made in 1937 by Grand
National Pictures.

(This movie is available to view in our videos section.)
The plan was for Grand National to produce a Shadow Movie Series to
compliment the Shadow Pulps and Shadow Radio Show.
In fact Grand National was even going to adapt stories originally in
the pulps t…

In 1938 Grand National released its second Shadow Movie. Again they
started by choosing a story right out of the pulps to adapt to the
screen. This time they chose "Foxhound" (Shadow Magazine # 118 Jan
15th 1937) (a Ted Tinsley story) and set to work creating a
screenplay adaptation. How could they go wrong?

In their first Shadow movie the…
